❓ Frequently Asked Questions
▶ What is alt-text and why is it important?
Alt-text (alternative text) is a written description of an image used in HTML. It's crucial for web accessibility—screen readers use it to describe images to visually impaired users. It also helps search engines understand image content, boosting SEO, and appears if an image fails to load.
▶ How accurate is the AI-generated alt-text?
Our AI model is trained on millions of images and provides highly accurate descriptions for common objects, scenes, and people. However, for complex or abstract images, we recommend reviewing and tweaking the generated text. The optional "context" field can significantly improve accuracy for specific use cases.
▶ What's the difference between the style options?
Descriptive: Detailed description (e.g., "A golden retriever puppy sitting on a grassy lawn with a red ball in its mouth").
Concise: Short and to the point (e.g., "Golden retriever puppy on grass").
SEO-friendly: Includes relevant keywords naturally (e.g., "Adorable golden retriever puppy playing outside").
Social media: Engaging and shareable description, often with emojis.
▶ Is there a limit on image size or file type?
You can upload images up to 5MB. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP. For best results, use clear, well-lit images. Animated GIFs will be analyzed based on their first frame.
▶ How do I use the generated alt-text on my website?
Simply copy the generated text and add it to your image's alt attribute: <img src="image.jpg" alt="your generated text">. For CMS platforms like WordPress, paste it into the "Alt Text" field in the media library.
▶ Are my images stored or used for training?
No. Your images are processed temporarily to generate alt-text and are immediately deleted afterward. We do not store or use uploaded images for any other purpose, including AI training. Your privacy is protected.
▶ Can I generate alt-text for multiple images at once?
Currently, this tool processes one image at a time for maximum accuracy. We're working on a batch processing feature for future release. For now, you can quickly generate alt-text for multiple images one after another.
